Blackstone To Invest $11 Billion In Data Centres In India

Blackstone's $11 billion investment in data centres in India will primarily focus on the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). This includes partnerships with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) and the City & Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra (CIDCO) to develop advanced data centres. The investment is part of a broader initiative to enhance digital infrastructure and support the growing demand for AI and cloud computing services.

Approximately $5 billion will be allocated to the Mumbai 3.0 project, which aims to develop the Karnala-Sai-Chirner New Town (KSC New Town). This project will expand Mumbai's capacity with new infrastructure, residential, and commercial spaces.

$6 billion will be invested in data centres and other infrastructure across the MMR. Blackstone, in partnership with Panchshil Realty, will develop these data centres under the Lumina CloudInfra brand.
