Founded in 2021, NextLeap is a fast-growing startup revolutionizing career transitions for early-career professionals in India. 15000+ learners have already benefited from its bootcamp-style Fellowship programs designed to help individuals break into technology roles in Product Management, UX Design, Data Analytics, and Software Engineering. The company’s AI-driven, full-stack learning platform delivers outcome-focused education at an affordable cost, making career transitions more accessible.

Co-founded by former Flipkart leaders Arindam Mukherjee (CEO) and Mohammad Yasir (CTO), NextLeap has been recognized as one of the Top 100 EdTech startups in South Asia by HolonIQ in 2022. The company’s mission aligns seamlessly with PM School’s structured approach to product management training, making the integration a natural fit. With this acquisition, the goal is to build India’s most accessible and effective product management education ecosystem.

Arindam Mukherjee, co-founder and CEO of NextLeap, said, “At NextLeap, we believe career growth starts with the right skills and the right opportunities. Product management is a growing function in tech, but many professionals struggle to break into the field due to a lack of structured and practical learning. PM School has built a strong foundation in this space, and by coming together, we can bridge this gap at scale. This is not just about expanding our courses—it’s about giving learners the right guidance, industry exposure, and a clear path to meaningful careers in product management.”

Mohammad Yasir, co-founder and CTO of NextLeap, added, “This acquisition is about making product management education more structured and accessible. Many aspiring product managers find it difficult to navigate their career path because traditional learning methods don’t prepare them for real-world challenges. By combining PM School’s reach and expertise with our AI-driven learning platform, we’re creating a system that is more practical, hands-on, and aligned with industry needs. Our goal is simple, to help more people build the skills they need and connect them with the right opportunities.”

Ankit Bareja, Nikunj Sharma and Kushaal Devanahalli, co-founders of PM School, shared their thoughts, “We started PM School to give aspiring product managers a structured path into the industry. After 4.5 years of helping learners break into product management, we’re excited to see PM School continue its journey with NextLeap. This transition ensures our learners will have access to more resources, deeper mentorship, and a stronger bridge between learning and employment.”

NextLeap is backed by leading investors, including InfoEdge Ventures, Mukesh Bansal (Founder of Meraki Labs, Cult.fit, Myntra), Kalyan Krishnamurthy (CEO, Flipkart Group), Kunal Shah (CEO, CRED), and Amar Nagaram (CEO, Virgio). The company raised a $2M Seed round in 2021 to accelerate its mission of bridging the gap between traditional education and real-world skills.
