The Adani Group has announced a massive Skill and Employ initiative to support the Make in India movement. They're partnering with Singapore's ITE Education Services (ITEES) to build the world's largest finishing school in Mundra, Gujarat. This state-of-the-art facility will blend AI-driven immersive learning with cutting-edge innovation centers, aiming to train over 25,000 learners annually.
The program will focus on students from technical and vocational education backgrounds, providing them with intensive bootcamp experiences and ensuring they are industry-ready upon certification. Once certified, these students will be offered employment within the Adani Group and the broader industry.
It's an ambitious and exciting initiative that could significantly boost India's skilled workforce and increase employment.
To build this talent pool of industry-ready workforce, the Adani family will donate over INR 2,000 Cr for establishing internationally benchmarked schools of excellence.
Each of these finishing schools, called Adani Global Skills Academy, will select students from technical and vocational education backgrounds in India aligned to their industry and role aspiration. Once these students have been certified in their chosen field of study, they will be provided employment within the Adani Group as well as the broader industry, depending on their role and field of training. This will ensure that trained professionals are first-day first-hour industry ready and benchmarked to global standards of excellence.
The collaboration with Singapore's ITE Education Services (ITEES) brings international expertise and standards to the program. ITEES is a global leader in technical training and vocational education.
The program emphasizes AI-driven immersive learning and cutting-edge innovation centers, ensuring that students are industry-ready from day one.
The program is directly aligned with the Make in India movement, focusing on sectors like green energy, manufacturing, hi-tech, and industrial design. This includes intensive bootcamp experiences and hands-on training.
Beyond training, the initiative includes employment opportunities within the Adani Group and the broader industry. This holistic approach ensures that trained professionals are seamlessly integrated into the workforce.
Compared to other initiatives, the Adani Skill and Employ program's scale, international collaboration, and focus on immediate industry readiness make it a standout effort in India's skill development landscape.
