Cisco to Acquire Robust Intelligence

Cisco has announced its intent to acquire Robust Intelligence, a company specializing in AI security solutions. This acquisition aims to enhance Cisco's capabilities in protecting AI models throughout their lifecycle, from development to production.

Robust Intelligence's platform offers robust protection for AI models, addressing risks like data poisoning, prompt injection, and unintentional model outcomes.

The acquisition will allow Cisco to integrate advanced AI security measures into its existing security and networking products.

This move is expected to help Cisco's enterprise customers securely deploy AI applications, addressing new security concerns associated with generative AI.

Robust Intelligence, founded by Yaron Singer and Kojin Oshiba in 2021, has been at the forefront of AI security, making it a strategic fit for Cisco's vision of responsible AI and enhanced security.

Headquartered in San Francisco, California, Robust Intelligence is trusted by leading companies worldwide, including JPMorgan Chase, ADP, Expedia, IBM, and the US Department of Defense.

Cisco has made several notable acquisitions recently including DeepFactor, Inc., in last month, which is a cloud-native application security company, DeepFactor will enhance Cisco’s security offerings, particularly in the Cisco Security Cloud.

Last December, Cisco acquired Isovalent, Inc. which is known for its work with eBPF technology and solutions like Cilium and Tetragon, Isovalent will help Cisco build advanced multicloud security and networking capabilities.

Last year in September, Cisco acquired Splunk for $28 billion. The acquisition focused on cybersecurity and observability, strengthening Cisco’s strategy to connect and secure everything.
