Accenture To Acquire SOKO, A Brazil-based Creative Agency

Accenture has announced its agreement to acquire SOKO, an independent Brazilian creative agency. This acquisition is aimed at expanding Accenture's creative and brand experience capabilities in Brazil.

SOKO, founded in 2015, is recognized for its innovation and creativity, ranking as one of the top three advertising agencies in Brazil. The agency's work has been acknowledged internationally, with awards from The One Show, Clio Awards, The Effies, Fast Company, and Cannes Lions.

Post acquisition, SOKO will become part of Droga5 São Paulo, which is a part of Accenture Song, the world's largest tech-powered creative group. The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, and the completion of the acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.

The SOKO acquisition will likely enhance Accenture's influence and relevance in Brazil's creative market. The acquisition of SOKO will allow Droga5 São Paulo to deepen its influence and relevance in Brazil while strengthening the market's creative and brand capabilities within Accenture Song.

SOKO was founded by Felipe Simi, Co-CEO and chief creative officer, who is the #1 most admired advertising executive in Brazil according to 2023 Agency Scope research. He was also named by Wired Magazine as one of the 50 most creative people in Brazil in 2020.

Terms of the transaction of the acquisition have not been disclosed. Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions.

In addition to SOKO, Accenture has acquired more than 40 argencies over the last decade, including Fjord and Karmarama in the UK, Rothco in Ireland, SinnerSchrader in Germany, and The Monkeys in Australia, to build Accenture Interactive into a major player in the agency sector. These agencies are now unified under the Accenture Song brand.
