Tata Communications Advances Collab with NVIDIA for AI Infrastructure Benefiting Startups, Researchers

Tata Communications is advancing its collaboration with NVIDIA, focusing on building an AI supercomputer as part of their deal. They are increasing their AI compute spending to support this initiative. The AI Cloud, which is expected to launch later this year, will provide infrastructure-as-a-service and platform services for AI applications, benefiting startups and researchers, reported Economic Times.

Tata Communications' managing director and chief executive, AS Lakshmi narayanan, told Economic Times that the Tatas will partake in the Centre's AI Mission to offer Al services to startups and researchers. "We will offer infrastructure-as-a-service and the platform on top for customers to do the data pipeline, manage that properly, do the version management of the models, so that our customers can consume cloud capacity very easily at one of the best price performan READ and deliver AI at national scale."

The partnership aims to democratize access to AI infrastructure and accelerate the development of AI solutions. The collaboration is part of Tata Group's broader engagement in the Centre's AI Mission to offer AI services at a national scale.
