Laptop Maker Acer Launches Electric Scooter

Taiwanese multinational hardware and electronics giant, Acer, which is popular in India for its laptops and notebooks, has launched electric scooter — Acer MUVI 125 4G — with a starting price of Rs 1 lakh. This electric scooter, designed and manufactured by an EV Startup, Think eBikeGo Pvt Ltd, is focussed on revolutionising urban commuting.

Available in three distinct color options: White, Black, and Grey, the e-scooter can be customised or personalized as per the customers.

The MUVI 125 4G can also be customized for the B2B segment, particularly for local food and grocery delivery applications.

The MUVI 125 4G, which qualifies for both Central and state-level government subsidies, is the first EV model to be launched under the Acer brand in India. In the near future, the company plans to introduce multiple 2 and 3-wheeler EVs, such as e-bicycles, e-bikes, e-trikes, etc.

Pre-bookings for the e-scooter is currently open for ₹999/- and are being managed by Think eBikeGo, which are fully refundable. These pre-bookings serve as an expression of interest only. Final product specifications and designs are subject to change. In addition, the company has also invited those interested in dealership opportunities to express their Intent.

First showcased at the EV India Expo 2023 in Greater Noida in September this year, the MUVI 125 4G e-scooter comes with swappable batteries, ensuring hassle-free charging. The two removable of 48V 35.2Ah each offer a range of 80 kilometres per charge and can reach a top speed of 75 km/hour. The company claims that it can be charged to full in around four hours and riders can even opt to use just one battery at a time.
