Infosys Inks $2 Bn Deal with Existing Client for AI and Automotion Development

Indian IT giant, Infosys, said that it has signed a deal with an undisclosed existing client to provide artificial intelligence (AI) and automation development services. 

In an exchange filing, Infosys said that it has entered into framework agreement with one of its existing strategic clients to provide AI and automation led development, modernization and maintenance services. The total client target spend over 5 years is estimated at USD 2 Billion.

The announcement comes days before Infosys is set to report its first-quarter earnings. Infosys did not share details on the client or the agreement.

In last few months, Infosys has also signed other major deals such as — British oil & gas company BP's deal worth $1.5 billion and a $454 million deal with Danske Bank.

Infosys, which is India's second-largest software services exporter, has its flagship product "Infosys Topaz" - An AI-first offering to accelerate business value for global enterprises using generative AI, which was launched in May this year.

Infosys will announce results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2023 on Thursday, July 20, 2023 around 3.45 p.m (IST).
