The objective of this initiative is to provide free medical guidance to all employees and promote a healthy and happy workplace for them. Led by clinical experts, these weekly hour-long virtual sessions will be around health and physical and mental wellness. Avaali employees will have the opportunity to interact with veteran doctors at Apollo Hospital to discuss their health concerns.
The first session was conducted by a leading Clinical Dietician with Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals around the well-sought-after topic of ‘Immunity Building through Diet Amidst Air Pollution.’ The second session was conducted by Dr. Yash Gulati, Senior Consultant at the Division of Spine Surgery & Division of Joint Replacement, Orthopaedics at Apollo Hospital around body posture and bone health. The future sessions with the experts will cover topics such as cardiac health, mental health, and physical health in detail. The sessions were well received by the employees and they discussed their health problems with the doctors.
Speaking on the occasion, Srividya Kannan, Founder, and Director of Avaali Solutions said: “Building a great company culture requires one to acknowledge that employee’s well-being is as important as getting the work done. Just as society has become more diverse, so has today’s workforce, and with that comes the need for personalized benefits that will meet the specific needs of employees and their loved ones in order to live happier, healthier lives and achieve total well-being. The name Kosha is a constant reminder that our physical and mental needs have to be in sync with our spiritual growth and encourages us to take care of all aspects of ourselves. At Avaali Solutions, we are committed to leading the change in creating tangible programs that encourage active health and wellness, while increasing our focus and support on employee wellbeing.”
Dr. Yash Gulati, Senior Consultant at the Division of Spine Surgery & Division of Joint Replacement, Orthopaedics at Apollo Hospital “Generally we remain so busy that we struggle to find some time to check our health. Exercising, eating healthy, and taking required breaks, all these end up becoming our plans only and the corporate lifestyle only adds to the pressure that employees face. Hence prevention of such complications at an early stage becomes very important. Kosha- an initiative by Avaali is a fresh breath of air as corporations are taking care of their employees. It's also refreshing to see that wellness is being taken seriously, after all, wellness is the complete integration of body, mind, and spirit. It is the realization that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of well-being.”
Kosha is a Sanskrit term that refers to the sheath or layer of the soul and has been associated with Yoga wellness practices over the years. It is believed that there are seven layers or koshas of the soul, and each layer represents a different level of spiritual growth and awareness.
