https://ift.tt/gME3acq

First In Class edutech platform has signed an MoU with Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM) to create the largest free-of-cost edutech initiative in India and the world. One Lakh (1,00,000) tablet PCs will be distributed free-of-cost. All the tablets will be loaded with fully functional e-learning platforms also free-of-cost provided by First In Class.

This is being done to mark the occasion of the 75th year of Indias Independence - Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. The MoU was signed at the Rotary International Presidential Conference India 2022 being held in Hyderabad this morning.

The motivating force behind First In Class is 'all for learning, learning for all'. Indias first and only edutech platform in which the cause of social justice is the core value. This is the kind of positive, trailblazing disruption and pioneering effort that can truly revolutionise how edutech is delivered, perceived and implemented in India.

First In Class will provide K to 12 high quality curated content in line with CBSE-NCERT curricula. In a notable first, the coursework will be available in Hindi, English, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali, Punjabi & 6 other regional languages to facilitate inclusion, access & mother tongue learning. More than 10,000 hours of audio-visual & graphical interface content will be part of the course libraries. This will be linked with interactive testing & assessment nodules. The coursework will be facilitated with live-teaching. A special continuous review deck for parents to track the progress of their wards will be available in a user-interface friendly format.

Cultural learning, language learning, linguistic training and spiritual learning modules will also be available through the First In Class platform. For higher education, entrance test modules and specialisation in UPSC, Law & engineering are also on offer.

The MoU was signed today between RILM Chairman Kamal Sanghvi and iTV Network Founder Kartikeya Sharma.

"The coursework is structured and curated by some of the best educationists in the country in line with the CBSE NCERT curriculum. Crucially, it is being offered in Hindi, English and many regional languages to ensure inclusivity and mother tongue learning. All of this is the fruit of years of research and hard-graft to create content using the latest pedagogical techniques to ensure students benefit from holistic learning," said Kartikeya Sharma, Founder, iTV Network.

"The government is keen to promote digital learning. In this context, RILM already has an MoU with NCERT to provide E-learning content. In this new year, in line with public priority in vocational training, First In Class in collaboration with RILM will create content for vocational education for higher classes," said Kamal Sanghvi, Chairman RILM earlier.

"This is our way of saluting our martyrs in the 75th year of independence. While there is no way we can fulfill our debt to those who sacrificed their lives, it is our tribute. We have been working on E-learning in India for 10 years, reaching out to thousands of schools providing world-class audio-visual content," said Rotary International President Mr. Shekhar Mehta at the proclamation of the mission earlier this year.

Member of Parliament and Rotarian Mr. Vivek Tankha said in the run-up to the event, "What is being done today, the world will remember. This MoU is an organised effort to tell the Rotary and corporate world that we are ready to educate one lakh deserving children."

"First In Class is born out of the vision that every child is unique and deserves equal opportunity to learn and think. Our curriculum is a result of extensive research on new digital learning techniques. Our highly experienced teachers have carefully curated the curriculum to prioritise the student perspective," said Mrs. Aishwarya Sharma, Founder, First In Class.

Ahmedabad-based Tirex Chargers to Boost EV Charging Station in Kerala

Tirex Chargers to Boost EV Charging Station in Kerala

The manufacturer of EV charger equipment has partnered with the Kerala Electricity Board to set up 29 EV charging stations across the state

Tirex Chargers, a leading manufacturer of Electric Vehicle (EV) charger equipment, has tied up with the Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEBL) to set up a chain of EV charging stations across the state.

In partnership with KSEBL, Tirex will set up 29 EV charging stations in Kerala, each equipped with multiple charging points with the provision of both AC and DC charging.

"The EV charging stations we are establishing in Kerala are comparable to fuel pump stations in terms of size. Average EV charging stations usually provide just one or two charging points for charging four-wheelers only, inconveniencing users and leading to long queues. Our charging stations will be the first in India to offer multiple charging points for four-wheelers as well as two-wheelers and even heavy EVs. There will be a total of 200 EV charging points in the 29 stations,” said Arth Patel, Co-founder and CEO, Tirex Chargers.

Tirex Chargers to Boost EV Charging Station in Kerala

Tirex won the contract for establishing the 29 EV charging stations. The startup is also exploring opportunities for setting up charging stations in other states.

Of the 29 EV charging stations to be set up in Kerala, 12 stations have already been established.

Tirex Chargers to Boost EV Charging Station in Kerala
"This partnership with Tirex for setting up charging stations in Kerala is part of our plans to make Kerala an EV-friendly state. These stations will not only be of great help to people who have already bought electric vehicles but will also encourage more people to do so. As more and more people shift to electric vehicles, we will be able to reduce vehicular pollution levels in our state," Kerala industries minister P Rajeev said at the inauguration of one of the charging stations earlier this week.

Tirex Chargers to Boost EV Charging Station in Kerala

The station was inaugurated in the presence of KSEBL chairman & managing director Dr. B Ashok, and KSEBL directors R Suku and V Murugadas.

Kerala has approximately 1,800 electric two-wheelers, 1,500 three-wheelers, and over 2,000 four-wheelers.

For the convenience of EV users, Tirex has also partnered with GOEC Autotech for an exclusive mobile app. The app will provide details of all 29 EV charging stations and the real-time availability of charging points.

"The app will help in avoiding unnecessary long queues and providing a hassle-free charging experience to users,” said Arth Patel.

Tirex Chargers is one of the pioneers in the EV charging industry and one of the most reliable original equipment manufacturers for EV chargers in India. The four-year-old startup, which raised $2 million (Rs.15 crore) earlier this month, has installed more than two hundred EV charging stations across the nation already. Tirex has supplied EV chargers of 3,800 kilowatts to NTPC and has also closely worked with Finnish giant Fortum.

5 Ways in Which Technology Has Improved Background Verification

5 Ways in Which Technology Has Improved Background Verification

Article Authored by Piyush Peshwani Co-Founder & CEO OnGrid

The new decade has been witnessing a plethora of technological advancements irrespective of the industry, geography, or type of workforce. The unprecedented pandemic, although traumatic to millions of families across the globe, has only accelerated technological headway.

Every little thing around our daily life has a technological foundation, as simple as ordering groceries, getting a cab, or even reading this blog! There is hardly or no exception.

This reality is not oblivious to the HR Tech or Background verification spectrum. Everything in its life cycle has gotten some kind of technological makeover, be it onboarding, KT sessions, grievance management, and even the fun Friday activities!

In this article, we will be talking about the 5 most interesting ways in which technology has revolutionized the background verification world.

1. Automation

If we dial back just to 2015, any first day would just be reserved for PAPER WORKS! The frustrating experience would require the new joiner to submit multiple different sets of the same document (Signed!), and one minor error would repeat the shenanigans all over again.

Well, coming back to the year 2022, the above is not the case anymore. Any required document would be collected and signed off virtually through the in-house organizational platform or third-party background verification platforms that can be readily integrated with any onboarding platform to further smoothen the process of collection and verification of documents. Be it for the HR teams, admin teams, or compliance purposes.

Thanks to the constant advancements, new joiners can actually spend time getting to know their colleagues on the first day.

2. Access to repositories

Gone are the days when processes such as validating ID, identifying international criminal cases were a herculean task or when a simple criminal record verification would require the candidate to run down to the police stations multiple times to get a clearance certificate, sometimes even obligating the HR teams to omit the criminal checks to escape the hassle of dealing with the legal system.

Thanks to the digitized repositories, verifications that would take weeks (if not months) can be completed in just a few clicks. They are characterized in a way that enhances the quality of checks with their state-of-the-art integration with national and international repositories.

Verifications such as criminal record checks, global database checks, ID verifications, and employment verification are all completed in record time thanks to the robust integrations with respective repositories.

Through repositories, employment and educational verifications can be completed more quickly and authentically.

3. Lesser TAT

One of the most thankful but still underestimated aspects of technology-backed BGV is the reduced completion time. If we again dial back to the year 2015, the accepted norm for verification completion was in months, which would heavily impact the overall recruitment lead time, thus the entire HR lifecycle.

One of the HR leaders associated with the background verification organization quoted “The impact of attrition was so high on the HR life cycle then, that if there was a ‘great attrition’ then it would be chaotic”

With technological advancements in the BGV domain the verification turnaround time (TAT) has come down significantly; an audit-ready preliminary verification report would be ready in less than 4 hrs. A detailed complete report would not take more than 6-7 working days.

4. Innovation in verifications

When the world as we know was thrown off guard with waves of the deadly pandemic, innovation became inevitable to upgrade the current verifications. Address verification which was popularly executed through physical and postal mode got a digital makeover as digital address verification, backed with strong OCR technology. With innovations like these, you can shield your business, employees, and customers by providing another layer of personal protection. It's just the tip of the iceberg as innovation is a continuous and ever-evolving process, to say the least.

5. Data security

With the advent of technology and the very famous “Data is the new oil” quote, every piece of information about an individual is crucial and needs to be handled with the utmost amount of respect. The individual’s privacy should be regarded with the highest sanctimony by the organizations.

Modern BGV platforms have robust systems in place where sensitive information is secured through encryption. With additional qualifications such as ISO and GDPR compliance, security concerns are handled.

Trust establishment is easier said than done. Without trust, the foundation of any professional environment will remain weak.

Artificial Functional Hands Worth INR 7 Crore Distributed Free to the Poor and the Needy
  • LN-4 Prosthetic Hands, the US imported artificial functional hands worth INR 7 Crore distributed free to the poor and the needy
  • The artificial, functional hands known as prosthetic hands are as good as original hands: Ch. Malla Reddy, Minister.

  • Rotary District 3150 organised it in association with Ellen Meadows Prosthetic Hand Foundation, USA.
Rotary District 3150 organized one of the biggest prosthetic hands free distribution function at Malla Reddy University in Dulapally in Hyderabad yesterday.

It was organized in association with Ellen Meadows Prosthetic Hand Foundation, USA. It is a United States legal non-profit developed manufacturing capability to build and distribute several hundred prototype LN-4 hands (LN 4 is a brand name of hand developed by Ellen Meadows Prosthetic Hand Foundation. It is for free distribution).

The camp was inaugurated by Shri Ch. Malla Reddy, Chairman Malla Reddy University and Minister for Labour & Employment, Govt of Telangana.

Speaking on the occasion the Minister Ch. Malla Reddy said these hands are as good as your original hands. He appreciated Rotary District 3150 for their service. He thanked all the beneficiaries for giving him, his University and Rotary District 3150 to serve them. He said service to man is service to god.

Ch Malla Reddy seen showing LN 4 Prosthetic Hands at the Camp the biggest ever in India---2

Rotary District 3150 made arrangements for the import of the Prosthetic Hands from the USA and Malla Reddy University gave the venue extended logistical support, arranged breakfast, lunch and hospitality. Gauri Ashram reimbursed through and fro bus or train fares for the 730 beneficiaries to the extent of INR 5 lakh.

730 physically challenged were fitted with LN-4 Below Elbow Mechanical Functional Hands worth Rs 7crore. Nearly 150 more walked un-registered. Their numbers are noted and assured to help them in future. Each of these hands imported from the USA costs in the open market at rupees one lakh.

However, Ellen Meadows Prosthetic Hand Foundation, USA, manages to manufacture them in bulk for Rs 50,000/- each.

730 were pre-registered and 150 walked in without prior registrations. There was an overwhelming response to a video made about the camp which went viral. As a result, several thousand from across India have responded. Out of which based on the eligibility 730 were shortlisted (330 more than originally what the organization planned). Many walked in without prior registration. Organizers couldn’t accommodate them.

LN-4 Prosthetic Hands, the US imported artificial functional hands worth INR 7 Crore distributed free to the poor and the needy-02

Beneficiaries of LN4 Prostheric Hands, artifical functional hands

LN-4 Below Elbow Mechanical Functional Hands is a low-cost, light, durable, and functional prosthetic hand. It weighs just 400 grams but can hold a weight up to 4.5 kgs. It can be easily worn and removed by one hand by the physically challenged himself. It is highly useful. With the help of this artificial hand, the LN-4 Prosthetic Hands will perform the activities of daily living such as writing, holding a pen, riding a bicycle, two-wheelers such as motorcycle, scooter or car, holding a spoon and eating, polishing shoes, a mother can hold a baby to name a few informed Rotarian Mohan Kumar, LN-4 Global Ambassador

Rotarians Valmiki Hari Kishan, Project Co-Convenor & President Rotary Club of Secunderabad; Gauri, Project Chairman and Sridevi and others informed that the total project cost is Rs 7 crore. With these hands, the beneficiaries will get back their confidence in discharging their small, small daily chores. We have received an overwhelming response. Originally we were prepared for only 400, but, looking at the response we had to make elaborate arrangements for double the number. Looking at the response and need, we may organise a similar camp in near future.

LN-4 Global Ambassador, Rotarian Mohan Kumar said, the USA based Ellen Meadows Prosthetic Hand Foundation has been supporting Rotary International with one single promise that it would distribute them free of cost. The foundation was started by her parents in the loving memory of a girl called Ellen who died in a road accident.

This project which began in 2007 completed 15 years. In these 15 years, we have organised 200 plus similar camps. And this is one of the biggest so far. These are conducted in 82 countries. Nearly 68,000 hands were distributed free of cost. In India alone, 25000 prosthetic hands were distributed.

LN-4 prosthetic hand is most appropriate for below-elbow losses and is appropriate for all ages over the age of 8-10 years. One size device fits all recipients and functions as either the left or right hand. The hand can be attached easily with Velcro straps and is easily removed by the wearer in a few seconds. The hand will be delivered to each recipient in a zipper pouch which contains everything needed: an LN-4 hand, all straps and illustrated instructions for fitting and simple tasks, explained Rotarian Valmiki Harikishan.

The LN-4 Prosthetic Hand is non-surgical. It is a simple, low cost, durable, reliable and functional “helper's hand”. It is constructed of “coco puff” colour, injection-moulded plastic, with aluminium, brass and stainless steel metal parts. The LN-4 hand is resistant to water, heat, dirt and salt. It is easy to clean with just clear water. The hand is strong and, when correctly fit on the recipient’s arm, will support more than 4-4.5 kgs of weight. It just weighs 400-450 gms, added Rotarian Gauri.

For this device to be successful, recipients must have 14cm of the residual limb below the elbow to utilize this prosthetic device, measured from the tip of the elbow to the tip of the remaining arm to assure a strong fitting for the cuff. Additionally, there can be no remaining fingers, thumb, or wrist, as these will interfere with the cuff and are likely more useful than the LN4 hand. The arm should be flexible and fully healed with no open sores or bandages to interfere with the attachment, informed Rotarian Sridevi.

It is solely mechanical with no electronic parts. The hand operates to grasp an object by pressing the fingers of the hand with another body part or against a hard surface. The hand releases an object by pressing the wrist of the hand with another body part or against a hard object. By design, the operation of the hand is like using a simple tool, whereby merely seeing how the hand functions is to know how to operate the hand with minimal instruction needed.

The wearing of the hands is performed like putting on and taking off a sock by merely slipping the” sleeve” of the hand on and off the residual limb, and then tightening or undoing a Velcro strap that holds the sleeve in place. The wearing of the hands was designed so they may be done by the amputee themselves in about thirty seconds. They merely have to see how the sleeve is put on and taken off to be able to do it themselves.

Baby Pallavi, a 13 years old physically challenged girl who was born without a right hand received a prosthetic arm for her left hand. She brought a few paintings (portraits of Paul Harris, founder of Rotary International) which she painted with her only left hand. The same paintings were auctioned, and were sold at Rs 5000/- Which were bought by Rotarians and relatives of the beneficiaries of the prosthetic arms. The proceeds were given away to an NGO.

A four years old boy from Khazipet seen with prosthetic hand fixed at the camp. He is the youngest to receive the artifical hand

People from ages 10 years to 70 years received prosthetic hands. The youngest was a boy of four years old from Kazipet.

The beneficiaries had no bounds for happiness. It is worthy to note here that many philanthropic individuals volunteered to spread the word about the camp as stated in the short video and brought the beneficiaries to the camp at their expenses and helped them get the hand

Taking a giant stride towards the next generation of electric vehicles, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM), today made a smashing debut with the global unveil of the AVINYA Concept – an expression of the Company’s vision of a pure electric vehicle, based on its GEN 3 architecture.

Derived from the Sanskrit language, the name AVINYA stands for ‘Innovation’. The AVINYA Concept introduces a new a typology of mobility that liberates enormous roominess and comfort, not restricted by traditional segmentation. It comes packed with new age technology, software and Artificial Intelligence that work in the background to deliver wellness and tranquillity during transit. Providing an extremely premium yet simple and calming customer experience, this concept will be fairly accessible to a majority of customers of fast growing, high volume segments of today. With this, TPEM is all set to unleash a new breed of EVs that will redefine the automobile space. This path breaking EV will be introduced to the market by 2025.

Speaking at this landmark occasion, Mr. N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons and Tata Motors said, “While making the AVINYA Concept a reality, the central idea was to offer a mobility solution like no other – a state of the art software on wheels that is well designed, sustainable and reduces the planet’s carbon footprint. Green Mobility is at the nucleus of TPEM, and the AVINYA Concept is the perfect reflection of what the company stands for – a creation that will not only accelerate the adoption of EVs but also lead this movement. Furthermore, at the Tata group, we are uniquely positioned to bring all the expertise that is necessary to build these mobility solutions and we are confident that in years to come we will make a larger and sustainable impact not only in India but globally as well.”

Adding to this, Mr. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd., and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd. said, “It is indeed a matter of pride for us at TPEM to present the AVINYA Concept to the world, a vision pivotal in signalling a ‘New Paradigm’. Holding on to its values of Simplicity, Timelessness, Effortlessness and Grace, the AVINYA is not only a concept but is our new identity, an identity which is here to challenge the status quo. It gives me an intense sense of optimism to present a new typology of vehicles that will introduce the automobile industry to options beyond mobility – a tranquil space which will offer you a complete sensory experience while on the move.

At its heart, the AVINYA Concept has ‘IN’, which demonstrates our Indian roots and highlights how we pride ourselves in discovering new ways to move and power vehicles. The AVINYA Concept is the fruition of our first idea built on our Pure EV GEN 3 architecture, enabling us to produce a range of globally competitive EVs. Our vision for pure EVs is focused on delivering wellness and rejuvenation while traveling, backed by cutting-edge technologies, aimed at improving the overall quality of life.”

A TIMELESS DESIGN:

Originally inspired by a catamaran, the AVINYA Concept is an uncompromising vision for electric mobility. With a new silhouette, this concept is a mixology of the best of the worlds – it a product which combines the essence of a premium hatch to the luxuries and versatility of an SUV and the roominess and functionality of an MPV – all put together to create something new and beautiful. A significant highlight on the front and the rear of the vehicle is the new identity.

This new identity as a part of the DRL is a subtle nod to our commitment to enhance the quality of life and is a pivotal step in the evolution of EVs. It is also the manifesto and emphasises the Horizon and the Infinite possibilities that the Gen 3 electrification will offer. Gliding to the sides, one is met by the ‘Butterfly’ doors, which welcome you with open arms to a class leading spacious interior which is sure to make its inmates feel calm.

The AVINYA Concept focuses on a human centric design and promises a sensory journey of its own. From the skydome that enhances the overall sense of space and natural light to the functional console inspired steering wheel, to the voice activated systems for a deeper interface for all its passengers, to the sustainable materials being used, that communicate the ethos of the product and finally the finishing touch of the aroma diffuser – that envelopes you in an ambience that is serene and soothing.

Furthermore, envisaging a future trend, this concept is designed to believe that lesser screen time is the way to go. Taking this into consideration the AVINYA Concept has been made screen-less, to bar any distractions inside the car and create a stress free environment for the mind and soul.

A PURE EV AT ITS CORE:

The AVINYA Concept stands for empathetic mobility, a machine that is engineered to be smart, spacious, sustainable yet techy. The agile and robust Pure EV GEN 3 Architecture offers this concept with a flexible design while boasting of next generation connectivity, advanced driver assistance systems and enhanced performance and efficiency. Pioneered out of India for the world, this global platform offers high structural safety and has the next level of water proofing and dust protection, making it ready for all forms of terrains.

This architecture is built with the use of next-gen materials, efficient electronic componentry and proprietary energy management strategies & algorithms for efficiency management. Use of light-weight materials, and optimized structure for an EV only powertrain with enabled appropriate stiffness, helps minimize the overall mass, leading to good weight management. Furthermore, the battery used will support an ultra-fast charge capability, in line with the infrastructure evolution, pumping a minimum 500 kms range in under 30 minutes. The overall philosophy for enhanced range would be ‘Minimize- Maximize – Optimize’.

Drawing inspiration from human sensory cues whilst promising a stress-free experience with every drive, the AVINYA stands by the concept of minimalism and is a leap forward in the right direction, making it the absolute regiment of sustainable movement.

New Data From Conviva Identifies Which Brands Have Successfully Cracked the TikTok Algorithm to Achieve Significant Gains

https://ift.tt/hCr3Bym

Business Wire India

Conviva, the continuous measurement analytics platform for streaming media, released its third annual TikTok Benchmarks & Strategy Guide today, examining more than 1500 verified brand accounts on TikTok, with a combined 1.42 billion followers and 591,000 posted videos. The report details which brands are most effectively capitalizing on the pandemic-fueled increased popularity of TikTok and highlights how the most successful brands were able to add an average of 527,000 new followers from March 2021 to March 2022.

This press release features multimedia. View the full release here: https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20220428006098/en/

“At the beginning of the pandemic, many brands were still hesitant to fully embrace TikTok as a powerful tool in their marketing strategy. However, over the last 18 months TikTok’s growth and popularity has exploded—and brands are racing to build and execute a strategy to tap into this massive incremental audience,” said Nick Cicero, VP of Strategy, Conviva. “With no signs of slowing down, it’s important for brands to understand what tactics—namely consistently posting quality content—actually move the needle in terms of engagement and brand building on TikTok.”

Across the industries measured by Conviva, sports leagues’ accounts achieved the largest average annual increase of followers at 969,800, followed by sports media at 825,000. Four TikTok accounts—Tottenham Hotspur, Champions League, Manchester United and Netflix—all increased their following by more than 10 million followers in the last year. ESPN was close behind with an increase of 9.1 million followers. Sports leagues also edged out sports media accounts to become the fastest growing segment of 2021.

As many brands have come to realize in the last year, Conviva’s research shows that posting consistently makes a significant difference when building a TikTok following. Of the 1500 brand accounts measured, accounts posted, on average, 189 times in the past year, a 13% increase from last year’s average. Additionally, among the top 20 accounts ranked by follower growth, those accounts averaged roughly 7.1 times more posts over the past year than all accounts, on average. For top performers, that amounts to around three to four posts per day, up from two to three times per day from last year’s report.

Recognizing that engagement has become an important metric for brands, Conviva added an average engagement rate ranking to this year’s report. According to Conviva data, the average engagement rate for brands with under 100,000 followers is incredibly high at 28%, demonstrating TikTok’s well-honed ability to offer new accounts the organic reach they need to build a following. However, as follower counts go up, engagement rates typically go down. For example, Family Feud, an account notoriously popular for its reshared audio tracks, took the top spot for accounts with over 1 million followers with an engagement rate of 41.6%.

Other findings include:

  • Of the nine sports leagues analyzed, teams in the Premier League had the highest average number of followers at 3.2 million, followed by Ligue 1 at 2.1 million and La Liga at 1.7 million. European futbol teams dominated the fastest growing accounts list with eight European teams in the top 20.
  • The most-followed US sports teams were the Golden State Warriors at 3.7 million, the Kansas City Chiefs at 2 million and Dallas Cowboys at 1.7m. The Chiefs, Cowboys and the Warriors were the only American teams in the top 25.
  • Guinness World Records maintained its spot at the top of the brands list with 19.1 million followers.
  • Overall, engagement rate rankings were dominated by TV and entertainment accounts. Those accounts enjoyed the highest average shares, comments and likes per video.
  • Within the brands ranking, gaming showed up big this year as Roblox and Fortnite claimed the No. 2 and 3 spots at 7.9 million and 7.7 million, respectively.
  • WWE overtook NBA as the most-followed sports league.

In addition to offering the latest benchmark data, Conviva also shares specific forward-looking trends to employ to achieve TikTok success in 2022. Binance to Drive Awareness of Crypto and Blockchain in India with Several Educational Initiatives

Foster a mindset of knowledge-building and research by providing an Open Access to Blockchain and Crypto Learnings

Binance, the global blockchain ecosystem and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider with a financial product suite that includes the largest digital asset exchange, has announced several educational initiatives to empower investors in India. Binance recognises the importance of investor education and has made it a priority to drive awareness of crypto and blockchain across India. Given the growth witnessed by crypto in India and the strategic importance of the geography, investor education has been an area of concern for multiple stakeholders including regulators and policymakers.

Binance is committed to building awareness around blockchain technology and cryptocurrency among primarily the student community. Through three key educational initiatives, Binance aims to provide open access to blockchain and crypto learnings.

As a follow up to the Binance Campus BUIDLers Program that was launched in October 2021, Binance has recently partnered with Inter Institutional Inclusive Innovation Centre (i4c) to initiate the ‘Blockchain for Good’ Ideathon, that provides a platform to students across Indian colleges to come up with solutions that would make the blockchain space more inclusive and accessible for all.

Binance recently launched its Learn and Earn program on Binance Academy that incentivises learning by allowing users to earn crypto while gaining knowledge about important topics across the blockchain industry.

Binance is hosting a webinar that is free and open for everybody named ‘Crypto for All’ on the 1st May at 6 pm IST, where major finance influencers including Neha Nagar, Aditya Saini, and Kashif Raza will be teaching the basic concepts of Blockchain and crypto, while demystifying myths around crypto trading. Along with providing certificates issued over blockchain by Binance NFT to all attendees, select winners will receive grand giveaways in Bitcoin and Binance Coin (BNB).

Leon Foong, Head of APAC at Binance said, “At Binance, we believe in financial freedom through crypto adoption. India has one of the largest populations in the world with a median age of 28. This represents a huge opportunity for us to play our role in educating the future innovators and builders of India, especially students, and equip them with the relevant blockchain and crypto knowledge to build a path towards financial freedom. Today’s generation also plays a significant role in imparting technology-related knowledge to their elders and play a crucial role as blockchain advocates. With Binance’s vast resource of academy content and our Learn and Earn program, we hope to create the right incentives for users to do more thorough research and make better informed investment decisions."

Binance aims to create further courses to enable students to define their own career and entrepreneurial futures in the blockchain industry. These skills will be crucial in helping the future generation navigate the new world of web3.0 and smart contracts.

As an extension of its commitment to the student community, Binance had partnered with IIT Delhi as a title sponsor for its cultural fest Rendezvous. It showcased interesting use cases of blockchain technology ranging from NFT tickets, certificates, Fan tokens, POAP, and more during the fest.
