TVS Motor Company, a worldwide two-wheeler and three-wheeler maker, on Saturday announced the launch of its TVS iQube electric scooter in Kochi. The scooter was jointly launched by Kerala Transport Minister Antony Raju and TVS Motor Company's Joint Managing Director Sudarshan Venu. "The TVS iQube Electric is a green and connected urban scooter powered by an advanced electric drivetrain and next-gen TVS SmartXonect platform," the company said in a release. 

The bike has become available in Kochi from today at an on-road price of Rs 1,23,917.

Venu said that TVS Motor Company is transforming into a digital age company offering world class green and connected products. He added that the TVS iCube electric ecosystem is built around a digital platform that provides a complete digital retail experience to the customers. “As India progresses, its mobility solutions will increasingly be experience-led, and it doesn't feel anywhere faster than in India's youth.



Our focus on the youth of India is included in the TVS Electric portfolio. TVS iQube Electric is a combination of an advanced electric drivetrain and the next-gen TVS SmartXonect platform,” Venu said. TVS iQube Electric is equipped with a 4.4 kW electric motor to deliver high power and efficiency without any transmission loss. The scooter has a range of 78 kms and travels at a maximum speed of up to 75 kmph with a full charge. The company said that the scooter comes with an impressive acceleration of 0 to 40 kmph in 4.2 seconds.

The scooter can be booked through the website with a booking amount of Rs 5,000 and this will be followed by an end-to-end transparent digital buying experience and dedicated customer relationship support for purchase and support. 

The company is also offering customers comprehensive charging support, which includes multiple charging options including SmartXHome, which offers a dedicated home charging solution with Bluetooth connectivity, live charging status and RFID enabled security. “Currently, the charging units for the scooters will be installed at Cochin TVS in Kochi. In addition, the company is developing a wide public charging ecosystem by expanding the strength of the entire network.
