After extending a meet and great hand to Indian entrepreneurs last week, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to lend an ear to more experienced minds in the business world today and hear the concerns that they're currently facing and ideas to make the Indian subcontinent a 21st century nation.

According to an ET report, the list of industry leaders who have been selected to meet Modi today includes Hindustan Unilever's Priya Nair, Naukri.com's Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Goldman Sachs' Bunty Bohra, Apollo Hospitals' Sangeeta Reddy, Escorts' Nikhil Nanda, Future Retail's Avni Biyani, KKR's Sanjay Nayar and Bajaj Auto's Rajiv Bajaj.

Being conducted under the aegis of Niti Aayog's ‘Champions of Change’ initiative, today's event will see the aforementioned business laureates making presentations before the Prime Minister focused on their ideas for policy initiatives for reforming country's financial sector once again, taking forward Make in India, creating cities of the future, building world-class infrastructure and doubling the incomes of Indian farmers.

The industry leaders have been organised into six groups and each of them have been assigned with the task of coming up with ideas and strategies on these topics that indirectly focus towards building a “New India”. Going ahead, there's a possibility that these groups be will be attached to the ministries concerned to their topics as part of the instutionalisation process so as to ensure proper guidance on these crucial issues that concern the Indian population.

Along with Modi, the presentation viewing panel will also see the presence of six cabinet ministers and secretaries of various ministries and government departments.

To recall, last week Modi met more than 200 startup entrepreneurs and chief executives to discuss about a range of issues including job creation, income growth and innovation. The session was also organised by federal policy think tank, NITI Aayog.
