Women’s fertility and health tracker, Maya, has been recognized as the Regional App of the Year for APAC for Facebook’s FbStartApp of the Year Awards 2017. The winners of the annual App of the Year Awards were announced to recognize and reward the most innovative startups in the FbStart program.
This year’s competition received 900 applicants from across 87 countries. The competition recognizes FbStart mobile app startups that demonstrate exceptional growth and potential for continued success, deliver great consumer experiences and design, and leverage Facebook developer products to drive engagement. An esteemed panel of mobile development experts, investors, startup founders, and Facebook judged the entries.
Maya enables women to keep track of their health via a mobile application. Women world over use Maya to track their periods, monitor related symptoms, set health reminders, monitor pregnancy and connect with health experts. Maya is a personal health assistant for users that uses data, analytics and machine learning to provide women actionable insights around their health. Using the tracker, women can record vital health information and trace out patterns that help them manage their health better. Menstrual health is one of the most important, yet neglected health parameters in the world. Approximately 70% of all reproductive issues in women are caused due to poor menstrual health.
