Online bus ticket booking platform, TicketGoose.com is going cashless even at their agent counters to manage and support the demonetisation of Rs.500, Rs.1000 currency notes. TicketGoose.com is partnering with Paytm to enable their agents to accept payment from customers through Paytm wallet at the agent counters.

TicketGoose.com has associated with more than 10000+ agents to book tickets through its portal. More than 60% tickets are booked through agent/vendor outlets, with cash or card as the primary mode of payment for the customers. Now owing to the ban of Rs.500 & Rs.1000 currency notes, customers are facing a challenge to pay cash at the agent outlet to buy bus tickets.

In order to help the customers and agents effectively TicketGoose.com has partnered with Paytm to simplify this process. The customer can visit the agent outlet and select Paytm as a payment mode. The agent will ask for the customer’s mobile number and an OTP is sent to the customer. Using this OTP, the money will get transferred from the customer’s wallet to TicketGoose and the bus tickets are generated.

On speaking about this partnership, Vasudevan Ramasamy, Director, TicketGoose.com said, “Agents form a crucial part of the online booking segment. We think there is a huge responsibility on our part in this time of change to help our agents and customers transition into cashless payments. We look forward to launch other initiatives in the months ahead that will enable smart bus travel.”

The service is in effect from 14th November at all their agent/vendor outlets.
