China's Letv Launches IoT-Enabled Bicycle In India

Chinese internet-video-turned-smart-everything company Letv has launched an Internet-enabled bicycle in an event in New Delhi.

The 'Super Cycle' as the company call it isn't just an average bicycle, its an Internet-enabled, self-powered transport system. The cycle is an IoT machine at heart, with the Super Cycle OS loaded onto the processor in the cycle's handlebars. It offers cloud computing, app integration, intelligent anti-theft and even a voice communication feature to keep in touch with fellow cyclists along the way.

The cycle comes with a fingerprint sensor to avoid theft. It also has built-in walkie talkie, bluetooth and the user can control the cycle through an app

The cycle comes in three different models with prices as below:

• Starley: Aluminum alloy frame - Rs 41,709



• Syrac: Carbon-fiber frame - Rs 62,530



• Alpe-d'Huez: All-carbon frame - Rs 4,17,000

Apart from cycle, the company also showcased a 3D Helmet or a virtual reality headset (VR) and LeMe bluetooth headphones at an event held here on Monday and said that it would launch their first smartphone - LeMax - in the country on January 20.
