Founded with a mission of fulfilling the huge dearth of professional leather care facilities in India, this New Delhi based startup is slowly becoming a hot favourite among all leather owners. Leather is an expensive investment that many of us make for the love of the material. Therefore, it physically hurts and sadness us if anything ever happens to this expensive investment of ours. Mallika Sharma, a leather lover herself, understood the grave situation of all leather lovers in the country and came up with the idea for The Leather Laundry, a Laundry especially conceived for authentic & expensive Leather items.

The Leather Laundry (TLL) is a second-generation initiative using environment friendly practices, equipment and processes to ensure the highest quality cleaning for your leather be it leather jackets, boots, shoes, bags or even belts TLL can repair, clean, color, revive and replenish them all. Though they don't have anything unique in terms of services they provide to their customers when compared to their contemporaries but they make up for everything in terms of quality of the services they provide. However, one unique thing about TLL is they upcycle leather scrap/waste to craft small leather goods which avoids the scrap from ending up in landfills. Thus, the startup wittingly helps in providing gainful employment, save water, mitigate wastefulness, reduce pollution and above all gratify consumers with its stellar products.

Founder of TLL, Mallika Sharma is a certified professional leather care technician who has trained with the globally reputed leather care company, LTT in the UK. LTT is one of the most coveted leather care brands in the world today. She learnt everything, from adopting the best practices to clean and care for all types of leather to colour mixing, repairing and leather restoration and recolouring. She did her under-graduation from Delhi University followed by an Msc in Finance and Investment from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She currently chair the garments division of her family run export house that has been manufacturing and exporting leather garments for the last 25 years.
Mallika has huge future plans in store for her startup. She intends to tie up with more and more leather brands across India by the end of this year, extend TLL's services to countries like Dubai and China and open up a brick and mortar shop for the startup's services.
