It now appears that the company is all set to play aggressive in the 4G market. According to some sources, Motorola is all set to launch a number of pocket-friendly 4G enabled handsets in the roaring Indian Smartphone market.
According to Rick Osterloh, President and Chief Operating Officer at Motorola Mobility, "The transition to 4G will be quick. Next year, we are going to be very aggressive in the 4G value proposition for end users." He also added, "India is absolutely essential (for global turnaround). India and Brazil are countries that we think the first when we think about our business because that’s the future. The market here is growing incredibly quickly."
India is one of the fastest growing smartphone markets in the world. By coming up with budget-friendly Smartphones, the company is trying its level best to increase its market share in the country. According to the current scenario in the smartphone market in the country, Apple and Samsung are the dominant players. Xiaomi is slowly catching up with the two.
In the past two years, the country has seen the launch of a lot of local Smartphone manufacturers like Micromax and Lava. These manufacturers have also been able to establish a name for themselves in the market because of their budget-friendly Smartphones.
