India's largest online student community and career counselling platform Career360 has raised undisclosed amount of angel funding from group of investors including Mahesh Murthy, co-founder of Seedfund; Ranjan Pai, MD and CEO of Manipal Education and Medical Group and Satya Narayanan of Career Launcher reports VCCirlce.
“Over the next couple of years, we are aiming to launch an education marketplace, called MyCareers360.com. This marketplace would help students evaluate, compare and purchase products and services on all parameters – quality, suitability and price,” said Maheshwer Peri, founder of Careers360.
The company is founded by Peri and Rajesh Jain in 2008 however the online education portal Careers360.com was launched in 2013 and it's a career information portal for students, the portal is run by Delhi-based company Pathfinder Publishing Pvt Ltd. As per Comscore, Career360 is highest traffic volume education based portal far ahead of its competitors such as Skhiksha.com, HTCampus and Pagalguy.
Careers360 claims its portal had monthly page views of more than 8 million by May 2014. In addition to an online platform, it also has presence in print, web, mobile and TV.
