Started in 2011, with 2 million monthly active users worldwide it has become one of the important event happening website in India. It also have mobile apps for iPhone and Android.

Critic: Very average looking website so in order to have successful running the portal need to offer more than what dozens of event website is already providing to its users, the UI, look-n-feel and design is also mere average.

FlixStreet

flixstreet.com

FlixStreet recently came out of private beta and devoted to movie ratings and reviews from your social circle and having all information (trailers, video songs, crew info) about a movie in one place saving you the hassle of searching on Google.

Critic: Pretty good website with nice minimalist design and less confusing elements however a little more features can surely add stars to what this portal is currently offering to its users.

MBASkool

mbaskool

MBASkool.com is a comprehensive online portal and knowledge base for MBA Students and business professionals. It is a one-stop management knowledge portal and a B-School community for all MBA students, professionals and MBA institutes and its provide platform for such students to study, learn and share. MBASkool also has an Android app to take all the content, articles events and student interactions to your mobile.

Critic: Very cluttered design though nice, useful and informative content for target audience the portal is meant for, but competitive website design and UI is an important element one cannot overlook.

EntrepriseJungle

entreprisejungle

EnterpriseJungle is a 'Social Discovery Platform' targeted and focused on business professionals and sits atop public and private networks and introduces you to the best people outside of your current network that you should already know. EntrepriseJungle use LinkedIn as the platform for authentication and saving/storing your new professional connections.

Critics: When we tested the web app, it took a good and long-long amount of time to show up something after you sign-in using your LinkedIn account and send people recommendations on your email and dashboard of web app was almost empty even after signing-in. The concept might be good but the interactivity of website is loosing somewhere due to technical process it take.

Funny Video: Entrepreneurship Satire on Corruption and Scams

The actor playing an entrepreneur in the video explains that website domains booked for same are - C-Bay.com, Flickkart.com, ChaalBaazi.com, SnapSteal.com or Lobhi.com. (Not to be taken seriously)

Shared History of Nokia & Microsoft - Infographic

For past few years Microsoft and Nokia has teamed up so well that no other brands have carried so well. Moreover recently Microsoft announced to have bought Nokia's devices & services division and patents for whopping $7.2 Billion. Microsoft Windows mobile platform would have died without Nokia in mobile market, it's because of Nokia Windows phone such as Lumia, that Microsoft Windows mobile has come a long way so far.

Not many people know that Nokia was established in 1865 as a paper manufacturer its year 1963 when Nokia actually start working in telecommunication sector.  12 years thereafter in 1975 Bill Gates and Paul Allen founded Microsoft and in 1985 launched Windows operating system.

Notably, in 2004 Nokia launched touch screen phone which is way much earlier when Apple iPhones came into existence and everybody knows both the companies had filed law-suits on each other for copyright and patent violation.

Nokia partnered with Microsoft in 2011 i.e. hardly 2 years back and the partnership was so fruitful that Microsoft ended up with acquisition of deal of its devices and services division. It is also rumored that Nokia is building a 10.1 inch Windows-based tablet in order to compete with Apple iOS and Android tablets already in market.

android-lassi

Kshitij, a techno-management group from premier institute IIT Kharagpur are conducting a campaign to promote Indian culture through a new technical pathway which persuading the Android top official from Google and convince them to name the next version of android to be on an Indian beverage that is "Lassi".

Students have even wrote an informal letter to Sundar Pichai who is heading Android division of Google and luckily Sundar is of India origin and from same institute these student running campaign from and who knows if he can understand the students' logic to why name the next version of Android as "Lassi".

Notably, Google had claimed in 2012 that Android adoption rate had grown by over 500% year-on-year in developing countries like India, Brazil and others. India has highest rate of growth for Android and may be its time to honour the country by name next version of Android after its popular sweet drink - 'Lassi'.

More reasons as why should "Lassi" be the next probable name of Android, students describe as:

  • Lassi is the most popular drink in almost every part of India and holds to gain a ready-global acceptance.

  • It gives the campaign more hope that presently Mr. Sundar Pichai, alumnus of IIT Kharagpur, senior vice-president at Google, oversees Android.

Recently, Android announced its latest version as - Kit-Kat, as usually Android has knack of naming all its version after sweet dishes so far Google Android have had versions, so far 9 versions have been released, these are:

  1. Android Cupcake

  2. Android Donut

  6. Android HoneyComb

  7. Android Ice-Cream Sandwich

  8. Android Jelly Bean

  9. Android Kit-kat
