Tom Horner Hosts Twitter Town Hall Forum Wednesday

MINNEAPOLIS, July 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Tom Horner, the Independence Party-endorsed candidate for Minnesota governor, will respond to citizens' questions during a unique online forum on Wednesday, July 28. The Twitter Town Hall takes place at Brit's Pub in Minneapolis between 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Participants can view Horner's video responses by logging on to his Facebook page.
Twin Cities social media expert Mykl Roventine will moderate questions via Twitter.
"This is a way for Minnesotans in every community around the state to participate in a campaign about the issues," said Horner. "I want to be able to engage Minnesotans no matter where they are."
Horner fully embraces social media through his personal back and forth conversations with Minnesotans on both his Twitter and Facebook pages. The IP candidate also took part this summer in a live chat hosted by communications blog The Same Rowdy Crowd.
Moderator Mykl Roventine will monitor participants' questions via Twitter. Questions can be asked by sending a tweet that includes "#horner2010." Roventine is a self-described media junkie who serves as co-coordinator of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Social Media Breakfast. He is also the co-founder/organizer of Ignite Minneapolis and Unsummit.
