ARENDAL, Norway, July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Sparebanken Sor, one of the largest savings banks in Norway, has selected PROXY Pro 7 from Proxy Networks, Inc. as its solution for remote access to Citrix terminal server sessions. Sparebanken Sor conducted a comprehensive analysis of various PC remote access solutions, and ultimately selected PROXY Pro 7 because of its performance, reliability and scalability for terminal server sessions.



"Some of our remote support technicians come from an outside service provider. For security reasons, we couldn't give them remote access to terminal sessions via shadowing. Shadowing is a configuration option that allows another user to share the screen display for a terminal server session; however, shadowing can be a security risk and creates an additional burden for the terminal server, resulting in inconsistent access, slow performance, and fewer sessions being supported.



PROXY Pro is able to provide remote access and remote control to Citrix terminal server sessions more efficiently and securely than shadowing because it is a server-side solution, capturing session screen data on the server before it is sent to remote thin clients. As a result, PROXY Pro can deliver better performance and allow the Citrix terminal server to support more concurrent terminal sessions than shadowing. Sparebanken Sor, for example, has successfully deployed PROXY Pro to support up to 150 simultaneous terminal server sessions over LAN and WAN connections to 28 branch offices in southern Norway.
